Digitstore Solutions unveils its Centurion DiscHub Optical Library, an automated CD/DVD storeage device. The plug-and-play system holds 100 CD/DVD discs, which equates to approximately half a terabyte (TB) of nearline storage capacity in a compact cabinet. For data management, backup/recovery and archival applications, Centurion DiscHub increases to approximately 1.68 TB capacity with 2:1 compression on dual-layer DVD discs. The capacity of the Centurion DiscHub is even more scalable by daisy-chaining libraries.
